OPERATION
The Model 735 Lighted Windsock consists of three parts: (1) Lighted Windsock Frame assembly (2) Control Unit for providing DC power to the windsock light/s (3) windsock. The light assembly mounted on the windsock frame shines a beam of light into the throat of the windsock. The control unit supplies power to the light assembly in the frame and controls the ON and OFF times the light is illuminated. As the wind direction and wind velocity change, the windsock and frame rotate 360 degrees showing the direction and velocity of the wind.
The Solar Powered Lighted Windsock is supplied with a Solar Powered Control Unit (SPCU) . The Control Units solar panel charges a battery during daylight hours and controls when power is applied to the windsock's LED's light assembly. The standard setting for appliying power to the LED lights is ON at sunset and OFF at sunrise. Other field selectable lighting control options are available. The standard factory set flash pattern for the LED lights in the frame is steady burn - continuously ON at night. Other field selectable flash patterns are available.
The AC Powered Lighted Windsock is supplied with an AC Control Unit (ACCU) . The standard unit's photo control sensor controls when power is applied to the windsock light/s. This is determined by the amount of light falling on the photo control sensor. The standard factory set flash pattern for the LED lights in the frame is steady burn - continuously ON at night. Other field selectable flash patterns are available. The AC Control Unit also supplies power to the top beacon when a top beacon is ordered. Optionally, a field programmable Timer Switch is available for setting the time the lights are turned ON or OFF. We offer two units for controlling the LED lights. A Photo Control (PC) and a Timer Switch (TS) unit. The photo control unit applies power to the windsock light/s from dusk to dawn. The timer switch unit can be programmed for many different ON and OFF times during installation and can be installed inside. All DC powered top beacons require an AC Control Unit. Consult factory for other options.
The Lighted Windsock is designed to alert personnel of changing wind conditions day and night. This product is for installation airports, heliports, off-shore platforms, chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical, raildroad, government, military, waste-treatment, and industrial facilities, or anywhere where wind direction is important.

        Ditto Model 735LWF except FAA approved aircraft anti-collision red LED top beacon light assembly. Unit has 30 bright lights that flash ON and OFF (approx. 0.25 seconds ON, 1.25 seconds OFF). Installed on mounting pipe above windsock frame. Model 720LWF-WFAA

        Ditto Model 735LWF except with an FAA approved red LED Obstruction top beacon light assembly. The red LED top beacon operates as a steady burn. Installed on mounting pipe above windsock frame. Model 735LWF-DFAA
